Before I went to Central Saint Martins and Ravensbourne, I saved up some money working in London to travel around Asia for three and half months. The experience was simply fantastic the diversity of culture contrasted so drastically with European culture, every moment of it was refreshing and exciting.
Thailand, Hong Kong, China, Tibet autonomous region of china and Japan were the five places which I traveled to.
Each place contrasted with the next, each one had its own story and they all left a powerful imprint in my memory.
Some of the photos will be from other places around the world. All of these photos unless stated otherwise were taken with a standard kit Cannon Lens 18-55mm.

I met a bunch of students on my journey who were such characters, they were all from various parts of rural China. I couldn't believe how independent and mature they were. All of them had left their families to seek education, they would return in time but not for few years, they had become family to one another.

Jokhang Temple Lhasa.
Tibetans are people of devout faith, Here a monk is practising the act know as prostration. The man will stand up, put his hand above his head in prayer then fall to his knees eventually his whole body will lay flat on the ground then he will continue to repeat these action until he has reached his goal. Tibetans will some times do this around holy temples or from their home to a holy temple. The act takes great concentration and endurance.
The Sera Monastery at the foot of Tatipu Hill, Tibet.
If you ever travel to Tibet please take the time to witness Monks debating, I had never seen anything quite like it. Usually Monks remain very composed quite, and calm, think the opposite and this is what you will witness. They erupt in flamboyant had gestures smacking their hands together challenging one another on the ancient texts of Buddhism.
