Christmas 2010

Here Are just a few pictures form Christmas.  Lense 50 mm f/.14 prime cannon lens. Its Christmas time and it has snowed in little England.

Playing around with composition. The person in this picture has a type of strength about him.

Christmas to me ins very magical, the lights, the warm glow of candles and all the shiny and sparkly decorations, its the one time of the year where I feel like a kid again. Here I am capturing a close up of the inner world of a Christmas tree.

Photo taken at college, person playing pool, I'm so near to a reflective piece of materiel, that the lense has blurred and the bottom of the photo has an almost angelic feel to it.

A Day out in London (Trafalgar Square)

 last Wednesday I was trying to think of an idea for my final year, my mind was blanc so I decided to go to London to gain some enthusiasm and inspiration.

I went into The National Gallery, noting down on a pad, all my favorite picture, so at a later stage I could reference them for influences. 

HIS NAME WAS VALENTINE AND HE CAME TO TRAFALGAR SQUARE TO ENTERTAIN!!!

At this point he said ''hey their buddy with the camera you might want to look away now''.

How could I forget this one, Now its not every day you see a man play the bongos on his bum.  This guy was immensely entertaining.

Beware Hidden Camera

These guys were protesting against hidden camera, I didn't quite get the full story as I was to busy snapping away, This kind lady was questioning the man about what it was all about and then posed for the camera like a pro. 

The V for Vendetta masked worked very nicely.

Ightham Mote a National Trust Site

Nestling in a sunken valley, Ightham Mote, dating from 1320 with important later additions and alterations, is a rare example of a moated medieval manor house

It was a great day out and I took many photos of this great Medieval manor House.

In this shot, I hoped to reveal the soft surface of the water against the hard stone of the cherub.

The lady was explaining about the property, a very natural shot. The lighting was also effective in this shot.

Capturing the detailed carving of the cross. good level of exposure.

Great sense of color of the stain glass window.

Capturing the fine work of craftsmanship. 

Focusing on the vase, I thought the subdued lighting was good. The texture of the

Lovely Detail. 

The fallen is complete

I have been spending the past two days completing This character design. My inspiration came from Native American Art and real life studies.

I decided to place my images together in order to clearly show my development. 

These were the Final Six shot, with the finished piece in the Middle. I experimented with different background colors until eventually making one which complemented the character.

Just adding some finishing details such as the amour and decorative art to the warrior. 

The flesh is near enough finished.

The wolf Armour has been added and some feathers. 

The Science Museum London

The Science Museum London 

I knew there was specific exhibition, at the science museum called Who Am I. The exhibition was about DNA and about how characteristic's of people can be traced back to their genetics.

A huge board displayed an Asian Man's face; the bright red swirls indicated DNA. I took this photo because I thought I could use it for one of personal Projects. I started imagining a character formed out of strands of DNA. 

This statue represented the earliest European. I thought I could use the detail of the model to inspire me to make a characters face.
